1. Who we are

Skillverse ("we," "us") operates a software platform connecting activity Providers with the families they serve. Trade name: Skillverse. Website: getskillverse.com. Contact: skillverse27@gmail.com.

2. What personal data we collect

From Providers: name, business name, email, phone, password (stored as a secure hash, never in plain text), banking details entered on invoices, subscription/plan information.

From Parents: name, email, phone, password (stored as a secure hash).

About children (entered by Providers, not collected directly from children): name, date of birth, enrollment/program information, progress records (goals, achievements, certificates), attendance/RSVP records.

Payment-related: invoice records, and — when a Parent uploads it — proof-of-payment files (e.g., bank transfer screenshots), stored securely and accessible only to the relevant Provider and Parent.

Usage data: login timestamps, general activity logs for security and troubleshooting purposes.

3. How we use this data

• To provide the Service (scheduling, invoicing, progress tracking, communication features)
• To send transactional emails (invoice notices, payment reminders, verification emails, bulletin alerts)
• To maintain security and prevent misuse
• To improve the Service

We do not sell personal data to third parties, and we do not use children's data for advertising or marketing purposes.

4. Our role regarding children's data

For data about children entered by a Provider, the Provider decides what is collected and why, and is responsible for obtaining appropriate parental consent. Skillverse processes that data only to operate the Service on the Provider's behalf.

Skillverse does not knowingly collect personal data directly from children, and the Service is not directed at children as its primary audience — it is a business tool used by adults (Providers and Parents).

5. Who we share data with

We use the following third-party service providers to operate Skillverse:

These providers may store or process data outside Namibia (e.g., in European data centers) as part of delivering their services to us.

We do not share personal data with any other third party except as required by law or with your consent.

6. Data retention

We retain data for as long as an account is active. Upon account termination, data is retained for 30 days to allow for export, after which it is deleted, except where retention is required by law (e.g., financial records).

7. Your rights

• Parents and Providers may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their own account data by contacting skillverse27@gmail.com.
• Requests regarding a child's data should generally be directed to the relevant Provider first, since they control that information; Skillverse will assist Providers in fulfilling such requests.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect personal data, including encrypted password storage, authenticated access controls (only authorized parties can view sensitive records like proof-of-payment files), and secure, signed session management.

9. Cookies

We use minimal, functional session cookies necessary to keep you logged in securely. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice.
